Project – Design and build FireEye’s exhibition stand at Infosecurity, Europe’s premier IT security event held at London’s Earls Court.

NO MORE BLANK SPACE, JUST – IN YOUR FACE
In my pre-show post I was asked by Sarah Woods at FireEye to keep what we were doing for Infosec under wraps. Now the show is over I can reveal what we were up to.
This was FireEye’s second outing and we wanted to present a familiar but evolved design. Elements from last years stand were reused to create some continuity, but the style had to be bold and confident. There is a craze at the moment to use circular suspended signage and one of our original designs incorporated a similar item. During the design process I was struggling to reconcile this fad with the elements we had and fitting all of this with what FireEye needed to do at the show. In the end it is usually best to chuck away a concept that you are struggling with and settle for the simplest and boldest design. This we did and I love the result.
Big wall, big lights and a big screen. All of this contrasted by strong use of the black red and white colour scheme. Plus there was the bonus of not wasting materials.
DURING THE SHOW
As last year there were certain areas of the show that had a buzz. I walked the whole show on the first morning and once again FireEye was buzz epicentre. I try to obtain a decent photographic record of every stand we produce, but on that first morning it was impossible to see the stand through the people and decided to come back just before the show finished to get my shots. Apparently the second and third days were even more crowded. Excellent news.
Once again we had FireEye Man doing his robotic thing around the stand and frightening the c_ _ _ out of passers by and attending anything that needed publicity. Well done —— it must be hot in that suit.
